During my days holiday this was the very best I had on Lido (and in Venice subsequently). I even went there evenings. The waiters and the restaurant manager made the most possible to ensure I received a table to my liking. They changed my table on my visit without hesitation. They offered me a drink (for free) during my visit, because I had to wait for a table almeit a had not booked (i did not expect or ask them to The big plate with mixed fried fish was extremly good and sizewise unexpected. I had a side salad to go with it, which was just perfect. There were some squares of roasted polenta hidden on the fish plate which are not mentioned anywhere on the menu. The second time a had spaghetti with ragu (bolognaise) and again a side salad. Tastewise it was very good, sizewise it could have done with some more volume, but this is about the only negative i can say. They do offer different types of wine in glasses. I had glasses of Valpolicella Ripasso and Merlot, which where exellent, as expected. On one visit a had a Tiramisu for dessert. No suprises there, tast as tiramisu everwhere else. The service was fast and attentive. Everytime I made a sign, they were by my side in no time, as friendly and as reactive as one could wish. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and cosy with dime lighting, a screen on the wall with a fake logfire and small candlelights on the tables. Pricewize it is on the middle to high side. One last thing I would like to mention: When I asked for bread on one occasion, they acctually brought me homemade bread. EXREMELY GOOD, TASTY AND FRESH HOMEMADE BREAD!! Since approx. years I have spent holidays in different locations in Italy. Where in Italy do you receive homemade bread in restaurants? A revelation!!
